Number one way of getting a mercenary to talk is to wave a big fat paycheck in from of them. This Fia character was no different. Mikhail contacted her about a potential job, and she was all ears. It was almost too easy.
That it was too easy was the worrying part. These things don't usually go right the first time, but hey. If we don't look, we won't know what's there. The boys gave Mystique a few pats before heading out through the portal Mikhail made. Portalling was generally easier when you know where you're going, but only witches with a certain level of mastery were able to portal to places they haven't seen yet.

Tae: This gonna take us to a back street? Mik: I have no clue at all. At least it won't land us in someone's backyard. Tae: Heh, that's comforting at least. Alright, enough stalling. Mik: Ikuzo! (Let's do this!)

The potent magic engulfed them and brought them face-to-face with a cloud of hot dust. After the small cloud cleared, it gave way to a beautiful landscape. Palm trees, people bustling about after work, immaculate stonework, stars strewn along the night sky. This...was Dambele.

Conveniently, Mikhail's portal landed them right outside of an unassuming building. Judging by the streams of people going in, this was no ordinary library or bookshop as the signs indicated. Mercs loved places that had hidden doors, and this place reeked of them.

A few knocks, a few passwords and the boys gained access to the hidden club below. Music was pulsating from the turntable, drinks were overflowing and conversations were being held while either drinking or twirling on the dance floor. Taeyang pulled up a seat and gesture for Mikhail to join him. The atmosphere made him feel alive; there was something about secret clubs that tickled him. The potential of making new friends or finding out incriminating secrets. It was almost blissful.

Tae: As far as first impressions go, this place is doing quite well for itself. Mik: One of the best bars I've been to for a contract. It's always dive bars behind some garbage tip or a proper back alley. Even for me, that's a little too much. Tae: How the hell do you guys even stomach those places? Mik: I could ask the same about you and your boardrooms. Tae: Alright, that's fair. I guess the two aren't so different when you look at it. Mik: Mmhmm. I thought this wasn't your vibe, by the way. You seem to be enjoying it a little too much. Tae: I'm a simple man, Mik. If the place actually looks like someone's paying the bills, I'm happy with it. What, no space for me on your scene?

Mik: Eheheh, that's right. My scene, not yours. Yours is pulling the rug from under PAs and corpos. Mine's checking out the shady stores. Or maybe you wanted to step into my arena? :catsmirk: Tae: Perhaps. Currently liking what I see. (Mikhail pulled his leg up onto the chair) Mik: Mmmhmm. Considering a career change? Tae: Hahahaha, not that much. I'll stick to greasing palms, you keep scouting contracts....though, this really isn't that bad. Mik: It is nice. Even if you don't pull up a contract, it's just nice to let loose. Company's not so bad either. Maybe try this place again when we're not looking for someone? Tae: Definitely.
Their mystery lady hadn't shown up yet, so the boys indulged themselves with a few drinks. The allure of the dance floor was strong, but they wanted to keep their minds sharp for their target. Morrigans were clever, and it would be horribly sad to miss someone because they were busy letting loose.
